The major aim of cost effective public transport is to move people and goods in a safe and reliable way. It should constantly aim to achieve its goals which may be different depending on the situation. One may require connecting different modes of transport to reach the destination. In different economies, the transport industry plays a huge role in its success.

Various factors are to be considered when choosing an effective transportation mode. The problem of delays is costly as it can result in huge loses for an individual or even a company. Timely delivery or arrival is very important and therefore a speedy means of transportation is best in most scenarios.

Speed might come at a cost and therefore the need to keep safe. Other threats to safety include carjacking and road accidents. Many nonprofit organizations put up billboards alerting the drivers on road safety such as fastening seat belts. Avoid putting your life on the line by driving through dangerous places. Weather may also result in accidents, mist will impair the drivers vision.

Flexibility allows one to divert to a different route if the current route poses a problem such as a traffic jam or an accident. This helps to save on time conserve fuel as well. The routes used should not result in any discomfort or inconvenience to the travelers.

Road transportation is commonly used in various countries. It is affordable and connects most parts of the country and even connects to neighboring countries. Both public and private vehicles rely on this road network. Fuel prices have been on the increase. This calls for efficient fuel management through regulating travel speeds. They should travel at an average speed. A high-speed consumes a lot of fuel.

Poor maintenance of vehicles comes with huge costs. They are prone to road accidents and even attract high costs when they break down. Their fuel consumption is high and this results in increased fares for passengers.

Road network serves and connects most locations in any given country. It is used in the transportation of people, supplies and other various commodities. The roads are built and maintained by the central government under the supervision of the responsible ministry.

Train, air and water transport have an advantage over the road form of transportation in that they are not affected by traffic jams. In choosing a mode of transport, many factors are to be considered but most importantly, it must be within your budget.
