Some of these tests allow you to take them online. After you sign up and are cleared to take the exam, you are given up to 6 months. Within these 6 months, you should have enough time to thoroughly study and take the exam. You will be given a schedule and time to take it. You shouldn't have anything else scheduled during this time.
