Where you grow up defines who you are. Every environment shapes a different type of person. Going to college, I really noticed that. Growing up in a suburban area surrounded by other suburban areas, my friends were all very similar. We held certain values, morals, and ideals about life. What's interesting about suburban life more than other places is that it often stands still. While cities and other places adapts, a suburban neighborhood can remain the same for 60, 70, quite possibly even 100 years. Because of this, sometimes suburban retrofitting needs to take place every once in a while.
