The best way to develop a project in Africa

By Abel Pardo

NGOs and small business firms

Fascinating facts for developing a project in Africa have some guidelines for getting success. It's very important to note that projects are developed with the collusion and collusion of the various representative groups of people (girls, town chiefs and youths).

Site of the project

The project will be developed in Senegal, where communications, fone and Web aren't widely spread, and reading e-mail, making a digital promoting plan or SEO is simply an illusion.

Goals of the project

The goal is that after an initial phase to provide with sufficient means a farm, the project will become self-sufficient and sustainable. This will work on one part of the production for sale so it can make sure the future purchase of seeds, animals and implements obligatory for the continuation of the project and the proper maintenance of fixed assets (well, ship, etc.).

Actions for getting success

As a complementary action, but essential to appraise the project and to ensure that it is achieving the objectives, 2 medical missions are foreseen. These medical missions will monitor three basic indicators:

- Number of deaths of kids due to malnutrition
- Share of girls with anaemia
- Percentage of kids with varying degrees of starvation

Workers, roles and volunteers

These missions will be conducted with volunteers who will voyage to Senegal on their own costs which will not charge for their services. This is a method for developing activities with no charge for the population but income for them, changing hand work for potential money, so everything reverts in their own villages.

Only support costs,eg purchase of medicines, medicine and instruments, local translators, organizing meetings and so on that crop up during medical missions are, once justified, going to be covered by the project.

Results

Results are a great expansion of their adquisitive power, live conditions and further investments in the area, where small enterprise can be developed.
