Understanding CIBC Credit Card Products

CIBC offers travel rewards cards, no fee cards, student cards, and many other options. There is always something tailored to the client's individual need. Of course, the bank offers business cards too.

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce Reward Credit Cards

The Aerogold Visa Infinite Card offers a start-out bonus of 15,000 free miles. You get 1.5 bonus mile for every $1 in purchases at grocery stores, drug stores, and gas stations. The annual fee is $120, and an interest rate of 19.99 percent applies to purchases.

The Aventura World MasterCard Card offers 15,000 bonus points too. You get one bonus point for every $1 you spend on purchases (merchandise) and 1.5 points per dollar spent at grocery and drug stores as well as gas stations. You get rebates for merchandise, vacation packages, hotels, gift cards, and more. An interest rate of 19.99 percent applies to purchases. On convenience checks, balance transfers, and cash advances, the interest rate is 21.5 percent. The annual fee is $120.

Other options are the CIBC Aerogold Visa and the Aventura Visa Infinite.

CIBC Cashback Credit Cards

CIBC Dividend Unlimited offers as much as 2% cash back on all net card purchases, full-scale purchase and travel protection, and unlimited cash back amounts. The interest on purchases is 19.99%, and the annual fee is $79.

Another credit card to check is the CIBC Dividend Visa Infinite Card, offered with up to 2 percent cash back, Personal Concierge Service, and the option to spend over one's limit free-of-charge. The interest rates and annual fee are the same as the Dividend Unlimited.

The most basic of the series is the CIBC Dividend Card. Clients enjoy extended protection insurance, purchase security, up to 1 percent cash back, and CIBC CreditSmart. The interest rates are the same as the Dividend Unlimited and the Dividend Visa Infinite cards.

CIBC Student Credit Cards

The CIBC Classic Visa Card for Students is a popular option. This card is offered with CIBC CreditSmart, carrier accident insurance, extended protection insurance, purchase security, no annual fee, and interest rate of 19.99 percent.

CIBC No Annual Fee Credit Cards

No annual fee credit cards offered by the bank are the CIBC Classic Visa Card and the CIBC Platinum Visa Card.

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce Auto and Gas Credit Cards

The CIBC PETRO-POINTS Master Card is one option for persons looking for a gas credit card, featured with no annual fee and 3 authorized user cards at no added cost. Cardholders save 2 cents on buying 1 litre of fuel from gas stations of Petro-Canada. Another good option for a gas credit card is the CIBC Driver's Edge World MasterCard, which earns 2 percent cash back on every $1 charged to the card.

CIBC US Dollar Credit Cards

One credit card tailored to the needs of frequent travelers to the US is the CIBC US Dollar Visa Card. The interest rate is 19.99%, and there is an annual fee of $35).

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce Low Interest Credit Cards

One low interest rate option is the CIBC Select Visa Card, going with an interest rate of just 11.99 percent, emergency card replacement, car rental discounts from AVIS, and more.

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce Business Credit Cards

Two types of business credit cards are offered to clients - the CIBC bizline VISA Card and the CIBC Aerogold VISA Card for Business. The Aerogold VISA Card is offered with a minimum credit limit of $5,000, no annual fee, and a variety of included benefits.
