One of the test samples they can quickly ask for your treatment is the urine. They can take it as a random, short or long term timed, first morning, or catheterized sample. The sample is cultured in the test room for various microorganisms to grow.

The urine is a sample with diverse characteristics. You should ensure that the urine sample you take to the test room is in the required volume. They always ask for the middle stream urine. This sample is essential in the diagnosis of kidney disorders and kidney functioning tests.

The medical technician in the sample room can use macroscopic analysis to arrive to some conclusion. They include sample volume, color, odor, and presence of residues in the sample container. Any abnormality in these characteristics may indicate infection by bacteria or any other urinary tract diseases causing microbe.

Another sample that is medical importance in these test chambers is the stool. It is one of the commonest samples requested when the patient has stomach discomforts. It is taken from both the adults and children for diagnostic procedures. In the test chamber, the sample can go through macroscopic and microscopic analysis. They help identify different stages of parasites such as ova and adults in the body.

Another sample of importance in the test room is the sputum. This test sample is very infectious and should therefore be taken with great caution. Many people with respiratory problems take use this sample to identify the specific organism that is affecting respiratory organs. Doctors recommend sputum test sample for people suspected to be suffering from tuberculosis. The test sample is very essential in the identification of stubborn microorganisms such as mycobacterium tuberculosis, streptococcus pneumonia, and klebsiella species.

Blood is yet another sample that doctors use in the diagnosis of systemic and chronic diseases. It is one of the test samples that require special and quality handling. It is usually maintained at room temperature if the processing is to take more than one day. The doctor can take the sample form different parts of the body. The vein is the main target place in adults.

Children do not have fully developed veins. This makes it hard for the technician to draw bold sample via their veins. Finger pricks are the most prevalent techniques that suit blood collection in children. Depending on the experience level of the nurse of sample technician, drawing of blood from the earlobes and heels of the infant is the best. Lab specimen collection is a procedure that only qualified personnel can perform.
