5 Ways to Work from Home Without Paying a Fee

If you want to be your own boss, there are lots of ways you can begin without buying an opportunity. There's no requirement to invest a large amount of cash - and if you think outside the box, you don't have to spend any.

The trade off if you want to start a business for free is that typically more work is involved getting started.

1. Blogging Business

Blogging does not call for any special training, per se. This home-based business simply requires your thoughts, energy and writing. Expert knowledge is not required to write a blog. In fact, many of the most profitable blogs are popular for the reason that they are amusing and entertaining to look at.

There are free blogging programs such as Wordpress and Blogger which make it easy to create a blog for free. If that wasn't enough, if you don't own a computer, sometimes your neighborhood library supplies computer use and web access free.

One thing that bloggers enjoy is that you don't have to turn into a salesperson to make money. In fact, lots of companies like advertising on blogs, and among the fastest ways to locate advertisers is via ad networks such as Google Adsense. You can join these networks for free.

2. Dog Walking Business

If you don't like staying at home, dog walking is a no-cost way to make money that offers multiple benefits; one of which being physical exercise. One perk with dog walking is that you can make connections with the people who own pets who may need you for additional pet services.

Business supplies are not necessary due to the fact that dog owners usually possess whatever their pets need. Advertising can be as simple as networking with pet owners you know. In addition, you can leave a business card or flyer (with references) at local pet supply stores.

For those who are very comfortable around animals, you could walk several dogs at once, thus increasing your pay per hour.

3. Errand Running

These days, lots of people don't have a lot of free time and could use a helper. Plus, lots of small companies want to save money by outsourcing general tasks rather than employing more workers.

There are a variety of services that errand runners can provide, including pick-up and deliveries, shopping, meal prep, making reservations, helping plan events, coordinating meetings, pet care and more. Up your income by offering to manage a variety of different tasks.

4. Micro Jobs

Micro Jobs are generally work you agree to do for approximately $5. In an ideal situation, you'd provide a task that's easy and quick for you to do, but that somebody else can't do themselves - or doesn't like doing (for instance writing, graphic design, computer programming).

In general, there is no up-front charge to advertise on micro job sites. Instead these sites deduct a percentage of the money you earn, so you never have to pay any money up front. Similar to blogging, you can take advantage of your library computers if necessary.

5. Start a Crafts Business

There is no fee to start this business. However, you will need to buy the materials for the items you want to sell. Keep in mind, if you are already spending money on a current crafting hobby, this is an expense you already incur.
