They normally indicate with an arrow the direction of rotation, so that you make no mistakes and interchange the right for the left tyre. You can also notice that some tyres are made symmetrical by some manufacturers, so that you use the tyres only on the left side or right side as indicated.

Care should be taken to match the tyres to the rim of the wheel, when fitting the tyres. The tyres should neither be too wide, or too narrow for any particular rim. Look for the manufacturers' recommendation, for the rim sizes to be chosen as they will tell you which ones suit the tyres. The same parameters can be followed, when choosing tyres to fit a particular rim.

It is essential that you do not over inflate tyres, when the process of tyre fitting is completed and you begin to inflate the tyres. The maximum you can pounds per square inch you can inflate the tyre is about 45 lbs or about 300 kilopascals. Using an inflator will help you keep a safe distance from the tyre, as it could be highly dangerous, if it exploded and you were standing next to it. When an explosion occurs, parts of the tyre changer including the rim and the components of the tyre can scatter at tremendous speed. It is therefore vital to take all precautions to avoid explosions and stay far from the tyre that has to be inflated.
