I have had a love for super heroes ever since I was a little kid and one of my absolute favorite super heroes has been Superman. I can't tell you what it is about Superman that I like maybe it's because he has x-ray vision or maybe he can lift a car, all I know is there is something about the idea of him being super powerful and can fly that has appealed to me. However as an adult there is one question I have about Superman what does he do about his Fortress of Solitude when he meets a collection agency?
Now I should note I am not talking about his alter-ego persona of Clark Kent, I am sure that your average reporter from The Daily Planet can be trusted to pay his bills on-time. I am talking about how Krypton's sole survivor can be able to pay his bills like any other persona. You would have to think a man who lives at the North Pole and maintains a fort made just out of ice would be very super expensive in order to maintain. How does he get the things he needs when he wants purchase things for the Fortress of Solitude? Does he put them on his special Superman credit card?
One other issue that I must raise is when Superman has a big battle with Bizzaro and Metropolis is faced with tons of property damage, is the Man of Steel faced with having to pay a portion of the bill? You would almost think that collection bills are a second Kryptonite for Superman being forced to pay for all the damage that was caused by his enemies that he tried to fix.
It is at desperate times like this that Superman needs to rely on people that have been trusted to help out people in a time of need. Superman has to find a good credit collection organization with a reputation almost as great as the Man of Steel. Credit organizations with outstanding reputations to average citizens would make Superman decide that these companies could be a place to meet with about his debt problems.
Superman can feel a lot comfortable once he finally gets all of his debts paid off to his collection agency in Metropolis. Working with a collection agency can make Superman stress free and can make him fight the forces of evil without worrying about the pressing need to get his bills paid for his extravagant purchases at his Fortress of Solitude.
