Tips On Guide To Revealing Benefits Of PO Box Rental

By Adam Ellis

PO Box rental is service provided by the Post Office to hold your mail until you are ready to collect it. It gives you peace of mind when you are away from home that your mail is not building up on the doormat. Many people find it is convenient to use the service for their business mail.

You can rent a Post Box for a day, week, month or year at a time. You will have to provide evidence of which you are when you complete the application form. Items that are accepted include photographic ID, such as a drivers license or your passport. If you do not have both items, you need your vehicle registration card or a lease agreement.

If you have a computer and a debit or credit card, you can rent or renew your Post Box on the internet. You can check on the website that the card you want to pay with is accepted. You should always save or preferably print off a copy of the paperwork, including your payment receipt and the PO Box details.

The United States Postal Service (USPS) is easy to use, whether you are applying for your first box hire or renewing an existing arrangement. To find a list of rental offices near to you, you just enter your zip code. If you then choose a convenient location, you will be presented with a list of the box sizes that are vacant in that office.

You can either choose to see the price list for all box sizes. Alternatively, click on the size of the box you need and the price list for that box will appear. If you intend to rent for a long period, it will work out cheaper than a short rental per day.

Before renting a PO Box you will need to monitor the amount of mail you receive daily. That will help you determine the size of the box you will need. You will also need to decide how often you will empty your PO Box as you may need a larger box if you intend to collect less frequently.
