One thing that a large amount of hopeful entrepreneurs fear is that they aren't offering any specific value. They just believe that on a deep level, nobody would like to pay for their service or guidance.
I once used to be the very same.
When I initially began my very own company, I did not create my own programs. Basically I just sold someone else's. It worked okay, but the entire time everything I did was tainted by this belief that I wasn't good enough to literally help others myself.
A technique to get over this challenge is to begin by giving a service to a (small) primary group of people for free.
Once you begin to get some great testamonials from them that what you're doing is helping them, it can really shatter that belief that "well, if I can do it, anybody can" and help you attracting customers down the road.
Truly, many of us have invaluable life experiences and we've learned lessons on the way that will actually help to motivate, teach, and help folks.
Hence if you are a life coach or some other service professional, then it's really important to keep that noted.
You do have value. I know that when you are looking around at all the other people in your market, they all appear like they have everything worked out, and you are the only person there with doubts and concerns, particularly if you are only getting going.
But realize that in most cases, these experts are as lost as you are, or at least they once used to be before they got several great testimonials under their belt.
And that is truly the reason why I'd suggest starting with a tiny and very limited free coaching program simply to get your own confidence up. Doing this could also get you down in the trenches with your clients. You'll learn a wealth about how they tick and how they think.
These kinds of gems will truly help you "get" them and view life through their eyes in times to come.
But again, don't limit your own thinking. Don't get caught in doubting your value. Just get out there and start helping folks, if that's truly what you actually want to do.
There are a lot of struggles you'll doubtlessly fight with as you get your business off the ground. Doubting your own talent shouldn't be a part of the equation. You wouldn't have gotten this far if you weren't good at what you do, so put your ego and your doubts aside and get out there and make the difference you know you were born to make.
Life is too short and there are too many adventures available.
