What To Expect From Your Executive Suite

By Orlando Ring

There is a reason executive suites have become so popular with businesses new and old. A new business can move right into a suite and get started without investing in all of the equipment and furniture they need right away. Established businesses are able to use the suite as overflow space or for temporary projects. In order to select the perfect location and a suite with all of services your business will need, you have to take some time to consider your options.

You can expect the building that your office suite is in to office you one or more workstations or a desk depending on how large the suite is so that you and your employees can complete the tasks. You will have office chairs and an assigned space that you can call "home" for the length of time you signed up for, which is typically in weeks or a few months rather than years.

You can expect to have receptionist services, which means you have someone that will answer phones for you, greet your customers or clients as they come to the building. They will take messages, and may even sort your mail for you. Having a receptionist makes you look very professional and helps you to stay organized because you know someone is collecting messages or forwarding calls.

You can also expect that someone will be around to fix problems with the building, such as backed up toilets or sinks. There should be someone cleaning your office at night so you have a very neat, professional space to enjoy each day. These are not your duties to cover, so make sure the services are provided in a timely manner if needed.

If you need Internet services, computers, and other office equipment, you can arrange for this to be included with your rent so you do not have to move it all in yourself and then back out. In some cases, there are meeting rooms that can also be used, even if they have to be shared with others renting space in the building. This sounds like it is going to cost you a lot, but in many cases it is more affordable than you may think initially.

You can lease an executive office suite with all the bells and whistles for less than you would if you purchased or signed a long lease on a building that required you to purchase your own furnishing and computers. You also have more flexibility with the ready-made office suites because you may not need a full-time office building especially if you are a smaller building, but you still need an area that you can meet with clients so that you can continue to grow your business.

You want to feel completely comfortable working from your executive suite. It should be just like reporting to offices that you own every day. Do some research, and do not jump right into the first short term lease agreement you find. Make sure it is in an area you feel comfortable, and that you will have all services and equipment needed to work efficiently while you are there.
